James Atlas, Famous Editor of Biographies and Acclaimed Author Has Died

The biography of the poetry author Delmore Schwartz was the first work that had celebrated James Atlas. The famous biographer was in his twenties when he wrote Delmore Schwartz’s biography.

James Atlas graduated from Harvard University back in 1971. From 1973 to 2017, James Atlas has published numerous works, including the well-known “Battle of the Books: The Curriculum Debate in America.” James Atlas was also an author of the memoir “My Life in the Middle Ages.” Besides this, Atlas was famous for this biography of Saul Bellow, Pulitzer Prize winner and Nobel laureate. Due to lung-related health complications, James Atlas passed away on September 4 in Manhattan, New York.
