Police have made an arrest in the case of damaging the Charging Bull statue. Tevon Varlack (45) from Dallas, Texas, is now arrested in relation to the Charging Bull incident on Saturday. Varlack, who has allegedly damaged a bronze statue, is now facing criminal mischief charges, alongside charges of disorderly conduct. The arrested man supposedly damaged the iconic bull statue with a metal weapon. There is still no information about Varlack’s legal representation.
The iconic Charging Bull statue was made by Arturo Di Modica in 1989. It was installed in Manhattan and soon became one of the symbols of New York City and one of its main tourist attractions. The creator of the famous statue said that the artwork was a gift to the USA.
